Pebble Beach has always been a top destination for world-class athletes, celebrities, tourists, and locals for obvious reasons. Scenery, dining, golf, resorts, you name it, this is really a spot not to be missed.
To enhance visitor experiences, Pebble Beach Resorts sought to create a one-of-a-kind mobile digital experience to help make the most of their guests' experiences. In conjunction with IBM's Watson AI technology, Pebble Beach Resorts created a mobile app with Watson at the helm of concierge services, providing recommendations to those who used the app and asked for recommendations.
Pebble Beach enlisted Futureman's help to capture and create the content for the app. In addition to Futureman, legends Laird Hamilton and Gabby Reece were brought on too, to be the talent in the narrative Futureman would film and edit. By using the app for personalized recommendations for shopping, tours, restaurant recommendations, recreation suggestions and so forth, we captured Laird and Gabby throughout their visit to Pebble Beach, helping them decide where to go and what to eat. Then we edited it all into segments that would help adoption and usage of the newly minted mobile app.
Since the rollout of the app, Pebble Beach has been able to personalize customer interactions and provide value through providing them with relevant experiences and push notifications throughout their stay.
